ABOUT jerry
Jerry Nelson Stuart is an artist living in Colorado but works where the art takes him. He is the son of a logging contractor and a devoted mother from the Adirondack Mountains in New York. He was awarded an art scholarship from Frederick Mac Caffery and attended Fulton Montgomery Community College in 1978 where he studied art & design. Jerry started his own painting business in 1986 that specializes in faux finishing, stenciling, murals, wood graining, and more. He is also a Certified Grumbacher Art Instructor. He has been commissioned to do works for the Colorado Avalanche as well as many other notable clients internationally. He has taught fine art at Wells High School and faux finishing at Arapahoe Community College as well as at Benjamin Moore in Denver, Colorado.
Jerry's original fine art ranges from his specialty of photo-realistic works to abstract pieces, working with mediums such as watercolors, oils, pastels, charcoal, pencil, and mixed media. He has been commissioned by many professional environments such as hotels and restaurants along with painting decorative pieces for the home. With over 25 years of interior decorative painting experience, Jerry mixes many different elements to come up with a finish that works best for your home or business. He also will help with your project as a color consultant.
Jerry has also done work to raise money for Denver Children's Hospital, The Junior Symphony Guild, and many churches from Colorado to California.
Jerry believes murals are a personal expression of who you are, they are created to enhance your lifestyle and express your life experience. Murals can also be used to create your choice of atmosphere. Jerry specializes in bringing your vision into focus as well as bringing many new ideas and visions to the table.
